Today we’re launching creditOS — the first product from mercatorOS.
creditOS gives B2B merchants automated credit scoring, dynamic tier assignment, and checkout enforcement — built directly on Shopify and WooCommerce, with no external tools or data exports required.
Why we built this
We spent months talking to wholesale distributors, B2B resellers, and trade suppliers. The pattern was consistent: merchants were making significant credit decisions — sometimes $50,000+ in open terms with a single buyer — based on gut instinct, a quick Google, or a referral from someone they trusted.
When it worked, it worked fine. When it didn’t, the write-offs were painful.
What surprised us wasn’t that merchants were making bad decisions. It was that they had no structured framework to make better ones. No scoring. No policy engine. No enforcement at checkout. Just a mental model that didn’t scale.
What creditOS does
Automated scoring. Every B2B customer gets a Value Score and a Risk Score, calculated continuously from their order history, payment behaviour, and account trends.
Dynamic tier assignment. Scores map to a credit tier — each tier carries its own policy: net terms, credit limits, deposit requirements, discount thresholds. Tiers update automatically as customer behaviour changes.
Checkout enforcement. Policies are enforced at the point of purchase. A high-risk buyer placing an oversized order gets blocked or redirected — without your team having to intervene.
Manual overrides. Finance teams can override any automated assignment. Lock a customer to a tier, add notes, set a review date. Full audit trail included.
Built on your existing data
creditOS reads the data already in your Shopify or WooCommerce store — order history, payment records, customer profiles. There’s nothing to export, no parallel system to maintain.

creditOS is the first product in the mercatorOS suite. We’re building the operational layer for B2B merchants — tools that replace spreadsheets, gut calls, and manual processes with data, automation, and control.
